What this site is
Immigration rules are published by governments in dozens of places, in dozens of formats, and they change. This site reads those official sources, records what they actually say, and keeps the source link and the date of review attached to every claim. It currently holds 197 country records and 71 reviewed program records across two languages.
Who runs this site
Immigration Pathways is an independent project operated by one person, Arnold Shang. It is not a law firm, an immigration agency, or a government body, and it is not affiliated with any of the authorities it links to. No country, pathway, or source appears here in exchange for payment. Questions and corrections reach the same person at contact@pathwaystoabroad.com.
How information is sourced
The primary source for eligibility, fees, quotas, deadlines and processing rules is the responsible national or regional government authority — not a law firm, an agency, or a news article. Where a fact could not be verified against such a source, it is not published. Where an authority's own pages disagree with each other, both versions are shown rather than one being chosen silently, and the disagreement is labelled as unresolved.
Why every figure carries a date
Salary thresholds, proof-of-funds amounts and points tables are revised on schedules that differ by country — some annually, some every six months, some at a fixed date announced years ahead. A number without a period attached is the most common way immigration information becomes quietly wrong. Every published figure on this site states the period it applies to, including when that period has already closed.
What the coverage labels mean
- Deep coverage (24 countries) — the process in order, the current figures with their applicability periods, the requirements that commonly block an application, and any conflicts between official sources.
- Policy overview (9 countries) — reviewed summaries of the principal pathways with their official sources.
- Official directory (164 countries) — the government entry point has been identified and checked, and nothing more is claimed. These pages carry a notice saying so.
What this site will not do
It does not predict whether an application will succeed, and meeting the minimum requirements described here is never the same as being approved. It does not give personalized immigration or legal advice. It does not place official government links behind a payment. It does not fabricate a figure, a source, or a citation to fill a gap — where something is unknown or unverifiable, the page says so.
