Singapore S Pass
Singapore's S Pass qualifying salary is benchmarked against the top third of the local associate professionals and technicians workforce by age, rising with age and set higher for financial services. The thresholds rise from 2027.
Core requirements
A job offer in Singapore is required; the pass is open to foreign employees of all nationalities.
The fixed monthly salary must be comparable to the top one-third of the local associate professionals and technicians workforce by age. It is a benchmark, not a fixed figure.
Current rates: from S$3,300 a month outside financial services, increasing progressively with age from 23, up to S$4,800 at age 45 and above.
Financial services currently starts at S$3,800 a month and reaches S$5,650 at age 45 and above.
For new applications submitted from 1 January 2027 and renewals of passes expiring from 1 January 2028: S$3,600 to S$5,100 outside financial services, and S$4,000 to S$5,650 in financial services.
The threshold rises year by year rather than in bands — outside financial services it is S$3,300 at 23 or below, S$3,368 at 24, S$3,436 at 25 and so on.
The Ministry of Manpower provides a Self-Assessment Tool to check a candidate's eligibility before applying.
